The first voyager is our first real attempt at creating our own game. My friends - fellow game developers and game artists - and I are super passionate about creating a fun 3D action platformer where players explore small parts of different planets and space stations. We've been working on this project in our free time for the past few months, and it's been an absolute blast. We're incredibly excited to see how far this project will come.
In this game, you play as a Space Voyager. An elite soldier from a colony ship which is the last known refuge of humanity after Earth became uninhabitable. Equipped with a jetpack, you can double jump and dash around the levels. Your magnetic arm allows you to grapple towards specific points or pull yourself towards enemies, keeping movement fluid and fast paced.
Combat revolves around wielding a high powered electric sword, delivering swift strikes to enemies. As you fight, you build up your blaster meter, which can shoot a powerful energy blast when fully charged.
Our goal is to create an action packed, movement focused experience that makes the player feel like an highly mobile space soldier. We can't wait to share more as the project evolves!
